I favor traditional wooden boats and didn’t think I would acquire a plastic boat.
I did the SWS spring cruise and MASCF Wye River overnight cruise in my 1.5 foot Dory skiff and slept on board. Proud of that, yes. But it was uncomfortable. And it will be a year (or 10 years at the current build rate) for my 17 ft bateau to roll off the strongback, get spars and sails, and launch. I want to cruise meantime.
So when Jerry mentioned that he needed to move his Potter 15 out of his garage, we talked more. Last week I drove the little ship home.
